The health department gave this information. The state saw the highest ever number of 2,716 new cases in a single day of infection on Monday, after which the total number of infected people increased to 78,232. According to the bulletin of the department, 2,088 patients were discharged from hospital after recovering in the last 24 hours. Accordingly, there are 21,683 patients undergoing treatment in the state at present. In the last 24 hours, 22,122 samples were tested in West Bengal.
