(Aditya Shaw,Intern Journalist): Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has upgraded its Rs 499 FTTH broadband plan. The Rs 499 broadband plan has been launched in July 2020 under I Bharat Fiber Services. This plan is available in all circles across the country except Kolkata, Rajasthan, Sikkim, West Bengal, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar. In BSNL’s Rs 499 standard plan, 100 GB data is available at a speed of 20Mbps. After the 100 GB limit is over, the speed decreases to 2Mbps. In this plan, unlimited SDT and local calls are free on all networks. This plan is offered under the name 100GB CUL. The plan has now been extended to some circles for a promotional period.
In the upgraded 499 rupees plan, 200 GB data BSNL has extended this broadband plan in Kerala and Lakshadweep Circle. In these circles, this plan is named 200GB CUL CS358. In this plan, users can use data up to 200 GB at 20 Mbps speed. After this limit is over, the speed decreases to 2Mbps. Unlimited local and STD minutes are available in the plan. This plan is available till 26 September.
According to the report, this plan can be subscribed for 1 year, 6 months, 3 years or 2 years. If you take a 200GB CUL CS358 plan for 6 months, you will have to pay Rs 2,994. At the same time, the subscription fee for the year is Rs 5,998. Users also get additional features in this subscription. Taking this plan for 2 years will cost Rs 11,976. Users get 3 months of services for free after taking a 2-year subscription. At the same time, for 3 years, you have to pay Rs 17,964 and users will get 4 months free facilities.
BSNL has upgraded the standard Rs 499 plan in some circles. In Kolkata, Rajasthan, Sikkim, West Bengal, BSLL is offering upgrading broadband plan of Rs 499. In this plan, 300 GB data is being given at 40Mbps speed. After the data limit is over, the speed decreases to 1Mbps. This plan is available in these circles till 9 September as 300GB Plan CS337.
