(Bhagya Luxmi, Intern Journalist) Condition of Bihar is still devastating, a matter of relief is that the level of few rivers has been decreasing but on the other hand the level of the Ganga river seems to be increasing on a daily basis. Ganga river in Kahalgoan is above the danger mark. Other rivers in the state are also above the danger level in some areas.
It’s news of sorrow that 16 districts of Bihar state are inundated due to which 19 people lost their lives with this the water swallowed the lives of 21 animals. Nearly, 66.60 lakh people are badly affected.
The officer of the disaster management department of Bihar on Thursday informed that there is a lowering in the danger level of the Kosi river whereas, The Gandak, The Bagmati, The Kamla Balaan, and The Ganga rivers are flowing above the danger level.
He stated that 8 relief camps have been opened in this area, where more than 12 thousand natives have been living. Especially, 1,379 community kitchen are running which are providing food to approx 10 lakh suffered.
He said that the Team of NDRF and SDRF have been deployed in the affected areas, they have rescued 4,80,884 people.
CM Nitish Kumar on Wednesday went for an ariel survey to assess the inundated areas.
