(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Uttar Pradesh; Six days have passed and yet there is no arrest for the rape of the six-year-old girl in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. She is currently under treatment at the hospital of Meerut, where she is under critical condition. The accused photos have been released, after three sketches- according to the recorded statement of the victim parent’s and neighbors.
“A reward of Rs 50,000 is to be given to the one who will provide the information, and the identity of the person giving information will not be revealed” said by police in a statement. They also said that the officers are searching for the accused in various areas.
The girl was kidnapped outside her house in the Garh Mukhteswar area, little distance from Delhi in the last week of Thursday by a man on a motorcycle.
The parents reported her missing after the case happened, the police then started searching for her. She was found the next morning found unconscious and filled with blood, under the tree near her village. After the medical examination, it was confirmed rape. She was rushed to the specialized hospital in Meerut and has been under surgery. Doctors have said she was under stable condition but not out of danger.
The sketches were released by the police. Last week, a 12-year-old girl was being assaulted at Delhi. On 4th August, while her parents were at work. She was assaulted at her home. She was admitted at AIIMS Hospital, as the girl was tortured and brutalized with scissors by the attacker. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called the crime as “Barbaric”. After the incident, the accused was arrested in two days.
