(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern journalist)Vijayawada: “Laguchetasam, Udaracharitham Dhu Vasudeva Kutumbakam” which means, only a small man differentiates by saying he is a stranger and he is a family, But when it comes to the people of India, we think the whole world constitutes the nation.
India is a mother of History, grandmother of legends, and great grandmother of traditions. For us, the relevance of Independence day is to stay patriotic and contribute to our country in whatever small way we can. Patriotism is not a feeling we get when we watch India-Pakisthan Match but its the zeal to work for the nation.
After 74 years, the relevance of Independence day is not just sacrificing our lives for the motherland, It’s not just performing prayers on the death of our martyr’s, It’s not marching in front of Redford, or standing for the national anthem before the movie begins!
It’s not the time to criticize the founding fathers of the nation for what they couldn’t achieve! The real essence of Independence day is paying taxes on time, Staying home during the pandemic times, raising voice against injustice, working with dedication for Swach Bharat, and doing small things for the development of the nation.
According to a report, by the year 2020, 64% of the Indian population is young, energetic, and dynamic. Their energy, motivation, and hunger to do good can build our nation and take it to great heights.
You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water said, Rabindranath Tagore. So, Indians should join hands to build a powerful nation with strong foundations, where every Indian is a brand ambassador for this reforming India!
