(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): The Maharashtra government will provide all possible help to Captain Amol Yadav, who is engaged in making a completely ‘Made in India’ aircraft on the roof of the house. State Industries Minister Subhash Desai said this on Tuesday. The innovator Yadav claimed last week that his aircraft had successfully completed the first-stage pilot flight. Yadav has developed the aircraft on the roof of his house in Kandivali. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted permission for the first phase test flight last year.
Yadav has been working on this for over two decades. Last week, he said that the aircraft would have to fly at a height of 2,000 feet for the next phase of testing. According to the official statement, Desai said that after the DGCA’s approval, the Department of Industries will provide all support to Yadav’s project. The government will give them land to put up their project. Yadav has been a former pilot of Jet Airways, which has ceased operations. Desai said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray himself has appreciated Yadav’s efforts.
