(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) The nation is celebrating the most famous festival which is the biggest and most widely celebrated Ganapati Mahotsav. The devotees welcome Lord Ganesha to their adobes, offer prayer, and seek the blessings before bidding adieu with making a promise to devotees to return next year. This year Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated (August 20, 2020). The festival is celebrated for 10 days where Bappa visits every house and return back after a stay of 10 days. Devotees welcome Bappa by performing every function and rituals and bid him farewell with the extra celebration of dhol, Tasha, and dancing with joy.
This day on the birth of Lord Ganesh the festival was celebrated with precautions due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has harmed the normal functioning.
But the celebration was performed with full rituals at home and visit your adobe every year, special puja is held on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi at home.
