They are successful business community during the Rajput Kingdoms and later on joined investors on the production of industrial and various other sectors. In the present time, they handle many media groups in the country.
Marwari culture has a habit of migrating. The major cause of migration is due to the proximity of their homeland to the major Ganges and Yamuna trade routes.
They are known for their tightly-knit solidarity, which was described by Selig Harrison n 1960 as indissoluble under impact to strongest regional solvents. They are known globally for their successful industry and business and even got criticism from other Indians because of corruption and social conservatism.
