Ravi Babu, a resident of Aalok Nagar, had married Ritu after the loss of his first spouse nearly two years ago, a senior police legitimate of Izzatnagar police station KK Verma said.
“On Thursday, they killed Kajal (7) and buried her in the house. When police reached the residence after being informed by their neighbors, the husband-wife duo said their pet had died. However, some youngsters informed police that Kajal had died,” Mr. Verma said.
On Friday, the girl’s cousin Suraj lodged a police grievance alleging that his sister has been murdered. On Sunday, following the orders via the district magistrate, the physique of the female used to be exhumed, the police said, including that Kajal’s elder sister is nevertheless missing. The accused are taken to custody for investigation, the police said.
