Aatmja kumari(Intern Journalist): Justice Arun Mishra bid farewell to the court and the bar on his last working day as a judge of the Supreme Court of India when he was sharing a bench with the Chief Justice of India. He said that he has dealt with every matter with his conscience and thanked the Bar for their support and support. He said, “I have dealt with every matter with my conscience and decided firmly.”
He said that his decisions could be analyzed but urged that no particular color should be given to him. Analyze every decision but do not give them this color or that color. He confirmed that the bar had been his source of strength and power. “I always tried to borrow the weapon of power given to me by my learned brothers. There was the power behind all that you have done. I have learned a lot from the members of the bar,” he said.
Justice Mishra also said that sometimes he is harsh in his conduct and apologizes for any injury. He said that “I have often used harsh words. If I have hurt anyone in my life, please forgive me.” Justice Arun Mishra “Iron Judge”: Speaking in the AG formal address, Attorney General KK Venugopal described Justice Arun Mishra as “Iron Judge of the Supreme Court”.
The AG began its address by stating that Justice Mishra was entitled to physically farewell in the presence of several Supreme Court advocates, but this could not be done due to the epidemic. The AG recalled that he had a long personal relationship with Justice Mishra, in the days when Justice Mishra was the Chairman of the Bar Council of India in 1999. The Attorney General said, “I have never seen any judge so firm and steadfast in the Supreme Court. I would describe him as the iron judge of the Supreme Court.”
