Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) Andhra Pradesh has been ranked number one continuously for the third time in the ease of doing business ranking of States and Union territories by the department for the promotion of industry and internal trade.

As per the report released by the finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday the criteria for ranking are based on the implementation of the business reform action plan 2019. Registering a jump of ten places in the rankings Uttar Pradesh got the second position in 2019 as against 12th in 2019.

Whereas, this time Telangana slipped to the third position from second in 2018. It was followed by MP fourth, Jharkhand fifth, Chhattisgarh sixth, Himachal Pradesh seventh Rajasthan eighth West Bengal Ninth, and Gujrat tenth. Delhi’s position improved from twelfth from twenty third. Among the laggard and Union territories in the ranking, Assam was at twenty, j&k at twenty-fourth, Bihar at twenty-sixth and Kerala at tenth place. Tripura was placed at the bottom thirty-sixth

The Ministry is working on steps like creating a single-window system for approval and clearance. Said commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.
