Raipur: In the Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, there was a big encounter between the police and the Naxalites last night. In this encounter, Shyam Kishore Sharma, in-charge of Madanwada police station, was martyred. At the same time, the soldiers have killed four Naxalites. An AK-47, an SLR, and two 12 bore rifles have been recovered from the Maoists. The encounter took place in the Pardhauni area of Rajnandgaon around 11 pm.
Chhattisgarh DGP DM Awasthi told that the police had received information that Naxalites are cooking in the village. After which the team was sent from three different police stations. Madanwara police station in-charge Shyam Kishore Sharma also left with his team on the information of the presence of Naxalites.
