(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Greenland: A large part of the ice mountain located in Greenland has broken into the North Eastern Arctic. Scientists believe that this is evidence of Rapid climate change. The National Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland reported on Monday that the Glacier that has been broken is 110 square kilometers large. It is broken by a large mountain, which is about 80 kilometers long and 20 km wide.
Northeast Greenland is at the end of the ice stream, from where it entered the sea by land. According to the survey called GUS, the annual rate of melting of the Arctic’s largest eye mountain located in Northern Eastern is monitored with the help of optical satellite imagery. Since 1999, 160 square kilometers of the glaciers have been broken by this mountain, is twice the area of Manhattan in New York.
