Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Former DGP Gupteshwar Pandey, who became the center of discussion after quitting his job five months before retirement, did not open his cards on Thursday for political innings. Gupteshwar Pandey, who was dominating the media in the day, neither mentioned the name of

the party nor the area from where he can enter the election arena. However, he definitely indicated that he can contest the election.

Former DGP had said on Wednesday on the question of going into politics, why can’t people like us come into politics? Today he said in an interview with a news channel that I am offered to contest from 14 seats. I have always been among people. It is wrong to add my VRS to the election. We have not decided yet to go into politics. I will announce it only after consulting my people.

Gupteshwar Pandey said that rumor was being flown against me every day. An attempt was made to make me controversial so that a complaint could be made to the Election Commission. If the commission had removed me, I would have been insulted. My 34-year IPS career has been impeccable. But all efforts were made to create such an atmosphere that I stand in favor of someone.

Gupteshwar Pandey said that after the appointment to the post of DGP, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar thanked him for the opportunity to work for him. They never interfered in our work. I did my work with complete independence, there was never any interference from the level of government.

The former DGP said in an interview with the channel that I have found a lot of love all over Bihar. I am a resident of Buxar, the debt of the people there is on my forehead. He did what he could while in his job. Now their debt also has to be removed. Gupteshwar Pandey’s discussion about contesting from Buxar is in full swing. The possibility of his debt-ridden statement from the people of Buxar has increased even more.
