(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: Lord Vishnu is worshiped on the full moon every month, but the full moon day of the Adhikmaas is of great importance. This full moon comes once in three years due to the full moon of the Adhikmaas. On this day most people also offer Lakshmi Narayan Puja, saying that in the month of Adhikmaas, Goddess Lakshmi and Vishnu should be worshiped. It is said that this brings happiness and prosperity in life. Actually, Adhikmaas is called the month of Lord Vishnu. Worship of Lord Vishnu is considered to be particularly fruitful in this month. Bathing and donating the Ganges on this full moon is also of special importance. Today, the full moon date will start at 12:25 pm and will continue till 2:34 pm on October 1. Donating kheer on full moon day is also best. By doing this, there is happiness and prosperity in the house. Apart from this, it is also said that on this day, mixing rice in raw milk should be offered to Chandra Dev at night.
Do this during the fast-
- Take a vow by taking a bath in the morning on the full moon day of Adhikmaas.
- On this day, take a bath by mixing Ganga water in the water at home.
- Offer food to a needy person or a Brahmin.
- Donate to a Brahmin or a poor person.
