(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the ownership scheme to provide property cards to the people will be a historic event that will radically change rural India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the Swamitra scheme through a video conference with the beneficiaries. Beneficiaries can avail bank loans on their assets through property cards. Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Modi described the achievements of his government.
For decades, the poor in the villages have been left homeless or in trouble, and their government has built two crore pucca houses and handed them over to the beneficiaries. According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), lakhs of property owners can download their property cards through the SMS link to their mobile number through the ownership scheme. The respective state governments will also issue property cards to the beneficiaries.
