(Ritambhara, intern journalist) Assam: It has been decided to close all the madrasas in Assam. Under this, either they will be converted into schools or teachers will be transferred to the school. Giving this information, Assam Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma said that the Quran cannot be studied with the government’s money and if it happens then we should also teach the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita. Therefore, we want equality in society and have decided to stop it. Notifications related to this will be released in November. All the madarsas operating in the state will be converted into regular schools or in some cases teachers will be sent to state-run schools and the madrasas will be closed.
