(Ritambhara, intern journalist) Uttar Pradesh: The law student, who had filed a case against former Union Minister Chinmayananda aka Krishnapal Singh, turned hostile in the court during her testimony. The prosecution termed her as defamatory and filed an application against her under Section 340 of the CrPC. MP-MLA Court Special Judge Pawan Kumar Rai has ordered the application to be filed.
The case will now be heard on 15 October according to public prosecutor Abhay Tripathi, on September 5 last year, the victim had filed a case against Chinmayananda for having sex in her custody at Lodhi Colony in Thane, New Delhi. This FIR was merged in a lawsuit filed by his father in Shahjahanpur. The SIT began investigating the case along with recording the victim’s statement. In Shahjahanpur, the victim’s statement was taken before the magistrate.
