Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Tough measures are being taken by the police administration to prevent disturbances and bullying in the assembly elections. So far, 249 criminals have been booked under the Crime Control Act (CCA) in anticipation of peace. The junk miscreants, who are under CCA, will not be able to get their bail during the elections. They can be shifted to other jails. In this episode, so far, in Arvind Kashyap of Khagaul, Randhir alias Nata of Patna City, Manik, Ujjwal, Jatashankar alias Jataha, Amit of Bihata have been shifted to Araria and Bhagalpur Jail in 15 notables lodged in Beur Jail.

In order to tighten the screws, 230 notables of the district have been jailed. All these will remain in the second district till the election and will attend the police station every day. 28 thousand suspects have also been banned under section 107 and bonds have been filled with 5 thousand people in Patna district in fear of peace. The bondholders have given an affidavit that they will not make any disturbances in the election nor will they intimidate and threaten anyone.

SSP Upendra Sharma said that physical verification of all booths in total of 14 assembly constituencies of Patna district has been done by the Thanedars. Apart from this, a total of 84 flying squads and static teams have been deployed in the assembly constituencies. Three flying and three static squads have been deployed in each assembly. A magistrate, a police officer, and two jawans are placed in each team. The border of eight districts adjoining Patna district is being closely monitored by making checkpoints. Gunda register has been updated in police stations. Such miscreants who are suspected, are being made to attend the police station every day.
