Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist):A village girl (around eight years) of Sonbarsa police station area in Sitamarhi district of Bihar was strangled to death after being raped. With the intention of hiding evidence, the miscreants hid the baby’s body under a tree in a deserted lychee garden near the village. On Sunday afternoon, the women who went to cut the grass made a noise by seeing the foot of a child covered with grass under the tree. After this, a crowd of people gathered there. When people removed the carcass by removing the weeds, it was identified. The body of the child has been found in a semi-dead state.
On information, Sonbarsa police station Gaurishankar Baitha reached the spot and investigated. The body was taken and sent for post-mortem. The SHO has expressed the apprehension that the girl is strangled to death and the body can be hidden from the grass after the rape. He said that the body has been identified. Police attempted to identify the miscreants with a CCTV camera installed at a petrol pump near the spot. The statement of the family of the deceased has not come until now. Further action will be taken after the statement is received. Police are currently investigating at its level. The SHO told that no convict involved in the incident will be spared. Here, late evening Sadar DSP Ramakant Upadhyay also reached Sonbarsa and investigated the case.
According to the family, the girl had gone out of bansi around five o’clock in the evening to kill fish in a puddle near the village. When she did not return till late evening, the family kept searching for the missing girl all night. But his clue was not found anywhere. In the afternoon on the second day, the women who came out to cut the grass in Sareh of the village made a noise by looking at someone’s foot under the straw, near a tree of Litchi Bagan. After removing the weeds, people identified a blue salwar ganji wearing semi-carcass and informed their relatives.
