Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Lieutenant General Nand Kishore Sahu, VSM took over as Director General of Dental Services and Colonel Commandant of Army Dental Corps on 12 October 2020. During his distinguished military career of 37 years, he has contributed to several important positions in the Kashmir Valley, including command advisor to a unit command, Western, Central and Southern Command.
This General Officer is an alumnus of King George Medical University and a post graduate from the University of Mumbai specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has the unique distinction of being Professor and Head of the Department of Dentistry at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and Army Hospital (Research and Referral), Delhi. Lieutenant General N. K. Sahu is an internationally renowned author, teacher and winner of the KS Master Silver Medal. The General Officer has received five commendations and the President’s Award, the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), for his exceptional level of exceptional services.
After assuming office, Lieutenant General N.K. K. Sahu called upon all the soldiers to continue working with full dedication and enthusiasm. He urged them to strive for excellence and follow the path of ‘Nation First’ in all their endeavors.
