(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); Air India will send Wuhan flights for the first time on October 30 under the Vanda Bharat Mission. The Indian embassy announced this on Friday. The first case of coronavirus was reported in December in the Chinese city of Wuhan itself. The city was banned in January to prevent the epidemic. The city was officially declared virus-protected in June and all restrictions were lifted.
This is the sixth flight to China under the Vande Bharat Mission. This mission has been started to bring the stranded Indians in both countries back to their destination. The Delhi-Wuhan flight was announced after the flight was canceled between Delhi-Guangzhou on 23 October. Those going from New Delhi to Wuhan will have to stay in the Quarantine for 14 days in the hotels. According to the Indian embassy, the passengers have been asked to contact the helpdesk (helpdesk.beijing@mea.gov.in) for any assistance.
