(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: Police have started questioning her first ex-husband Akhilesh Tiwari, including a local leader, in the self-immolation case of Anjali Tiwari alias Ayesha, a resident of Maharajganj near Vidhan Bhavan. At the same time, her husband Asif’s family was questioned and asked to attend. Hazratganj police have started investigating this matter.
Lucknow police are also in touch with Maharajganj police. One can also clamp down on some other people including a white collar of Maharajganj to provoke the woman to self-immolation. In this direction also, the Lucknow Police has intensified its investigation. Hazratganj police are investigating the entire matter, as many more people will take action as the investigation progresses. Every accused will be behind bars, which forced the woman to commit self-immolation. Sukhdev Prasad’s son Alok Prasad has been sent to jail on Thursday.
Originally a resident of Chhattisgarh, Anjali Tiwari married Akhilesh Tiwari, a resident of Pachrukhia in the Ghughli police station area two years ago. During this both of them had a dispute and Anjali started living separately. A few days later, Anjali started work at the royal house saree center in Maharajganj. During the work itself, Asif was married to the resident of Virbahadur city. Both of them married. Anjali changed her religion and also named her Ayesha. Asif later fled to Saudi Arabia. After that, Anjali insisted on staying in his house. On October 4, she sat on a dharna in front of her alleged husband’s house. Later Maharajganj police reached the spot and went to the woman police station with her, but the matter could not be resolved.
