He said that the government’s tax collection has accelerated. Also, due to the incentives given by the government in view of Corona, economic indicators are also improving.
Pandey said that the number of evacuation of the e-way bill required for the transport of goods has come to the level before Covid. Online payments have grown rapidly. The collection of Goods and Services Tax (GST) collected on consumption or delivery of goods has increased for the second consecutive month.
Finance Secretary Ajay Bhushan said that trends in tax collection suggest that it has picked up faster than in the last few months. GST collection in the month of September was four percent higher than the year-ago period. The Finance Secretary said that in October there has been a 10 percent increase over the previous year and tax collection has also been increased by Rs 1.05 lakh. Similarly, the number of e-way bills for transportation of goods worth more than 50 thousand also increased by 21 percent in October.
