(Satya Havilah, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: 778 new cases of infection with the coronavirus were reported in Madhya Pradesh on Friday. With this, the total number of people found infected with this virus in the state has reached 175603. The state has confirmed 12 more deaths from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths from Covid-19 to 3004 in Madhya Pradesh.
According to a Madhya Pradesh health officer, during the last 24 hours, two patients each were confirmed dead in Coronavirus infection in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Rajgarh and one each in Sagar, Betul, Khandwa, and Damoh. He said Indore has the highest number of deaths due to coronavirus to date, 687, while 487 in Bhopal, 97 in Ujjain, 125 in Sagar, 209 in Jabalpur, and 166 in Gwalior. The remaining deaths occurred in other districts.
The official said that 179 new patients of Covid-19 have appeared in Bhopal district on Friday, 74 in Indore, 26 in Jabalpur, and 55 in Gwalior. He said that out of a total of 1,75,603 infected people in the state, 1,64,923 patients went home healthy, and 7676 patients are being treated in various hospitals. He said that on Friday, 856 patients were discharged from the hospital after recovering.
