(Satya Havilah, Intern Journalist) Jammu and Kashmir: Pakistani forces on Saturday again violated the ceasefire agreement. Security forces said Pakistani forces opened fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch and Kathua districts of Jammu and Kashmir, villages along the international border, and several sectors. It was revealed that the people of the villages bordering Pakistan were in a state of panic. The people of the villages had to spend the night in underground shelters. However, no deaths were reported in the incident.
Authorities said the attack took place between 2.30 am and 4 pm in the Mankot sector along the Line of Control in Poonch and continued throughout the night along the international border in the Hiranagar sector. A spokesman for the defense ministry said the cousins’ forces had been attacked with automatics and mortars.
Earlier on Friday, Pakistani forces opened fire on Karol Krishna, Satpal, and Gurnam along the border at around 10 pm. Officials said the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) had repulsed Pakistan’s actions.
