Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): DRM Sanjay Tripathi of Northern Railway Lucknow division inspected Cantt railway station in Varanasi on Saturday morning. During this, he said that the Government Railway Police Station of Cantt Railway Station will now be shifted to the new building of the station. At the same time, he said that preparations are being made to change the name of Faizabad station.
He informed that the name of Faizabad station will be Ayodhya Cantt. Ayodhya, Ayodhya Cantt, and Ramghat stations will also be developed. The DRM says that this will ease devotees going to Ayodhya.
There is a plan to shift the station of Cantt railway station of Varanasi after Chhathooja on 25 November. This new building will be started by the GRP police station itself. During this time, they inspected the passenger facilities by inspecting platforms, passenger halls, circulating areas, etc. The GRP station was first on platform number 4 and 5, then shifted upwards.
Now the place will again be permanently shifted to the new building. With this, railway passengers will no longer need to find GRP police stations.
