(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): Three friends of Jarar town of Bah in Agra district became cyber thugs due to the cheating idea of Halo Gang. Police arrested the three and sent them to jail on Saturday. All three had made many youngsters a victim of cheating by giving fake advertisements on social media of selection in the ‘Khelo India’ National Games to be held in Panchkula (Haryana) next year. The trio got caught in their woven net when the matter came to the notice of Sports Authority of India (Sai).
Bah police are on the lookout for associates of Sanjay son Ramesh Chand, Anuj Ojha son Virendra Ojha, and Ravi Kumar son Ashok Kumar, who has been sent to jail. Their bank accounts are also being investigated. The Sports Authority of India is organizing the Khelo India National Games in Panchkula next year.
‘Sai’ UP in-charge Gurjit Singh Tiwana filed a lawsuit against the three friends on Friday evening at Baha police station after a complaint of cheating of 55 thousand from Yajivinder of Mardan Heidi, Karnal in the name of the selection. Police and cyber cell team arrested the three and sent them to jail.
Freeze accounts of accused
The accused, during interrogation, told the police that the trap of fraud was woven in the name of selection from the idea of Halo Gang. Inspector Bah BR Dixit said that during interrogation, the case of depositing fraudulent money in two accounts of Canara Bank Jarar, State Bank Bah has come to light. Five halo gang members still away from arrest
