Ayodhya: A huge fire broke out in the city’s prestigious sweet shop on Faizabad-Ayodhya’s main road. The incident is in the Sahabganj locality of the Kotwali Nagar area. Several firefighters reached the spot and controlled the fire. The damage in the fire accident is still being assessed. Losses are being estimated in lakhs.
Actually, Rajendra Modanwal’s sweet shop resident of Rikabganj is located in Sahabganj. The shop suddenly caught fire late on Monday night. Seeing the smoke rising, people started making noise. People gathered at the scene. The information was given to the fire department. The firing squad along with Kotwal Nitish Srivastava immediately reached the spot and rescue operations started. People living around the shop came out of the houses in fear. A family living in the upper part of the shop came out safely. The fire was controlled after a long effort. The cause of the fire has been described as a short circuit. The main branch of Rajendra Modanwal’s shop is located in Rikabganj. Rajendra is counted among the city’s iconic sweets merchants. Kotwal Nitish Srivastava told that the fire has been controlled.
