Officials said on Tuesday that Singh is accused of committing mischief in Chitrakoot, Banda and Hamirpur districts with around 50 children between the ages of 5 and 16 years. He was arrested from Banda and is expected to be produced in a competent court soon. According to officials, during the search, the CBI has found eight mobile phones, about eight lakh rupees in cash, sex toys, laptops and other digital evidence of pornographic material related to children.
On the arrest, CBI spokesperson RK Gaur told that Rambhavan has been arrested from Banda district. He was produced before the special court, where he was remanded to one day judicial custody. The age of the accused is said to be over 40 years. He hails from Chitrakoot district. During the interrogation, Rambhavan told the investigating agency that he used to keep his mouth shut by giving children mobile phones and other electronic devices for this act.
During the arrest, a large number of indecent photographs and videos of children were recovered from him, which he used to earn huge money by selling online through Darkweb and Cloud. During the raids, the agency has seized eight mobile phones, sex toys, web cameras, memory cards, pen drives, laptops, and about Rs 8 lakh in cash. Pornographic images and videos of children have been found in Rambhavan’s mobile phone and laptop, which will be presented in court as digital evidence. The CBI has set up a special unit at the Delhi headquarters to investigate cases related to child sexual abuse.
