(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Punjab: With a view to providing regular teachers to the students of pre-primary classes of Punjab, the Punjab Government has decided to recruit 8389 teachers. After the decision of the Punjab government, the frustrated education workers, EGS, STR, and AIE volunteers, who have been teaching children in various schools inside the Rupnagar district for the last time, have got a big relief with the hope of becoming regular. If we talk at present inside Rupnagar district, a total of 307 education personnel, EGS, STR, and AIE volunteers are employed in different schools. In addition, 550 primary schools have pre-primary classes. There are 15 to 30 children enrolled in each class.
In this regard, District Education Primary Education Charanjit Singh Sodhi said that the cabinet has given the approval to fill the post, but at present no order has been received. Regular recruitment has to be done now. This recruitment will be according to RTE rules, the ratio of one teacher per 30 children. If this happens, all the 307 education personnel working in different schools in the district can be regular. At the same time, Manidar Kaur in education volunteers said that she has been doing volunteer duty as a volunteer for a long time.
He has done B.Ed. Now the Punjab government has raised hopes of building a future by taking out regular posts of teachers for pre-primary. As a volunteer teacher in a government school, Manidar Singh said that with the introduction of pre-primary, children and their parents in rural areas were getting huge benefits, but thousands of volunteers like them were worried about their future due to not being regular. Now the Punjab government has provided huge relief with the removal of the posts, giving many discounts. EGS volunteer Mohit Sharma said that with this decision of the government, the fate of long-time teaching workers in various government schools has emerged.
