Police Housing Corporation has been given the task of 155 construction works of residential and non-residential buildings of the Police Department

Lucknow: On January 18, 2021, on the instructions of Hon’ble Chief Minister, the functioning of Uttar Pradesh Police Housing Corporation has been made more efficient and effective, and special emphasis has been laid on their timely disposal by expediting the construction work to be done by the Corporation. As a result, this corporation running at a loss is now moving towards profit.
Giving information here today, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Shri Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that the corporation was running at a loss of Rs 11.29 crore in the financial year 2018-19 and Rs 7.12 crore in the financial year 2019-20, while in the year 2020-21 Profit has moved towards and after that, the profit of the corporation has been steadily increasing, which has exceeded Rs. 4.00 crore in the current financial year.
Additional Director General of Police, Police Housing Corporation, Shri HR Sharma informed that a total of 155 construction works are being done by the Police Housing Corporation under the construction of residential and non-residential buildings of the Police Department announced by the Chief Minister. Under this, the corporation is constructing residential and non-residential buildings of 29 fire stations, 17 police stations, and 7 police checks.
The corporation is carrying out 58 construction works related to barracks/hostels (multi-story buildings) in 44 districts police lines for transit hostels (G $ 8) and 100 (G $ 5), 150 (G $ 8), and 200 (G $ 11) men. . In addition, 44 construction works of hostels/barracks (G $ 3) for 24, 32 and 48 women in police lines of 44 districts are in progress. Many features have been included in the map for the newly approved construction works. Special facilities for women have been provided with separate cabins, courtyards for drying clothes, and rooms for them as well as a kitchenette (small kitchen) for their privacy and dignified living.
Additional Director General of Police, Police Housing Corporation also informed that due to the construction of the multi-story building sanctioned for the police lines of different districts of the state in the framed structure, where the construction will be more robust, the saving of land in urban areas has also been ensured. In addition to the above, with a special focus on cleanliness, one toilet has been arranged for 04 persons, which was one toilet per 08 people in the past.
Giving information, Shri Sharma said that an amount of Rs 100688 lakh has been sanctioned to the Police Housing Corporation for 155 works. The 15 districts in which fire stations are being constructed by the corporation are named Sitapur, Hardoi, Etawah, Bahraich, Deoria, Kushinagar, Mau, Maharajganj, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Bulandshahar, Rae Bareli, Ballia, Gonda, and Unnao respectively.
In the 44 districts in which police lines are being constructed by the corporation, barracks/hostels for women, barracks/hostels for men, and transit hostels (multi-storeyed buildings) are named in Hamirpur, Muzaffarnagar, Lucknow, Rampur, Hathras, Unnao respectively. , Mau, Firozabad, Bareilly, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Basti, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Deoria, Banda, Mahoba, Pratapgarh, Chitrakoot, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Sultanpur, Kheri, Hardoi, Balrampur, Mainpuri, Kanpur Dehat, A. Agra, Aligarh, Badayu, Mathura, Pilibhit, Ayodhya, Bijnor, Gautam Budh Nagar, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Sitapur, Barabanki, Rae Bareli and Fatehgarh.
