(Pooja Pal; Intern Journalist): The tremor was felt thrice in Gujarat within 24 hours initiating from Sunday night. The first jolt occurred on Sunday night and the earthquake intensity was 5.5 on the Richter scale. After this, two more tremors were felt in Kutch on Monday afternoon from one to four in the evening. Their intensity on the Richter scale was 4.6 and 4.1.
The epicenter of the earthquake was terrible. The strong tremor was felt in Kutch at 12:59 pm. People were still alert that there was an earthquake again at 3:56 pm. People were scared by this and left their homes. By Monday afternoon, 13 consecutive tremors were felt.
