(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Vijay Kumar Choudhary tested coronavirus negative among the many high-profile people who had come into touch with a BJP functionary who screened the disease on Saturday as positive. Nevertheless, four of BJP MLC’s 88 contacts have tested positive.

The Deputy CM sample has tested negative through the Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT PCR), which is a Covid-19 confirmatory test. His antigen check, which was performed on a CB NAAT computer that is analyzed in an hour, was also negative earlier.

During the swearing-in ceremony of nine MLCs at the Bihar Legislative Council on July 1, Kumar, Modi, Choudhary, along with several other ministers and politicians had come into touch with the COVID-infected BJP leader. Among the five people who were admitted to the COVID-19 isolation ward at AIIMS Patna on Saturday were the infected BJP chief, his aunt, son, and a personal assistant.
