Rishitha Jaladi(Intern Journalist): Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu launched the Elyments app on Guru Purnima(July 5), which is the first official social media app in India. This app was developed by 1000 IT professionals, who are also the volunteers of The Art Of Living, lead by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
This app is available on Google play store and App store in eight different languages. So from now on, this Indian app is going to compete with other social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. As of now, elyments have already reached over 2,00,000 downloads. On launching Elyments Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu stated that ” This app will give a new boost to the nation, increasing the economy by strengthening infrastructure, utilizing modern technologies, enriching human resources and creating consequential supply chain”
Elyments app official statement on play store says “connect and converse with friends, share updates, network with like-minded people, discover interests, make seamless voice and video calls, and much more”. The best part is that the app says, Importance is given to privacy and all servers are hosted in India.
