(Geetesh Ujjainwal, Intern Journalist) Amid COVID-19 pandemic many films are getting released on ott platforms like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Zee5, etc. Last month Shoojit Sircar directed movie Gulabo Sitabo starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana released on Amazon prime, Anurag Kashyap’s choked was also released on Netflix, late Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara will also have its global premiere on Disney plus Hotstar.
Now the Hansal Mehta directed movie omerta will also have its global premiere on ott platform. The film was theatrically released on 4th May 2018. Now the makers have decided to release it on the ott platform. Makers had announced to release the film on the ott platform on Wednesday. According to which it will be released on 25 July on Zee5.
Rajkumar Rao is in the main lead and essaying the role of Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British terrorist of Pakistani descent. The film was critically acclaimed at its theatrical release.
