(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist), Moradabad; A young woman was brutally stabbed to death in the Kundarki area of the district. Her body was thrown on the bank of a pond. The body was then recovered by the Kundarki police on Friday. The face of the corpse was completely burnt. The condition of the dead body and the site of the incident is pointing to the murder. It is being said that there may be the possibility of rape. However, Kundarki police are awaiting the post-mortem report before reaching any conclusion.
The villagers of the Rooppur village of the Kundarki police station area moved towards the pond half a km north of the village with the animals on Friday evening. A young woman’s body in a bank of the pond was seen. The feet of the villagers were choked, seeing the burnt dead body there. In a while, the news has spread like wildfire in the entire village. A crowd gathered on the spot. Kundarki police were informed about the girl’s body. The police station in-charge reached the spot with Kundarki Dalbal. Police inspected the body then. Green suit-salwar were found on the body. The girl’s face was burnt. It is estimated from the body’s condition that the woman was murdered three to four days earlier. There has been an attempt to erase her identity. Police tried to identify the dead body from the villagers. But it did not succeed. Light in charge Dharmapal Singh filled the body’s punch. Villagers also assumed that the girl being raped.
