(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): Well, we loved the chemistry in Gully Boy between Ranveer Singh alias Murad and Alia Bhatt alias Safeena and while we’re still gushing about it, the duo is reuniting for another project that’s none other than Gangubai Kathiawadi by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actor from Padmaavat will have a special cameo, which plays a crucial part in the narrative.
The film is made for experience in theatre, and will not have an OTT release. It is based on Mumbai’s Mafia Queens, written by the journalist Hussain Zaidi. In the 60s, Gangubai Kothewali was the owner of a brothel in Kamathipura (Mumbai area) and a powerful lady. She used to peddle drugs while operating a brothel, and order murders.
