After the bullet train high-speed rail corridor project between Ahmedabad-Mumbai, Indian Railways has started work on six new projects including Delhi-Varanasi. Private sector companies will be involved in the laying of railway lines in relation to high-speed rail corridors. The pace of these projects had slowed down due to Covid-19, but it has gained momentum since last week. In this, high priority will be given to the bullet train between Delhi and Varanasi.

The National Highspeed Rail Corporation has issued a tender last week to make a detailed report (DPR) of the proposed high-speed rail corridor between Delhi-Varanasi.
Board chairman said- Bullet train will travel between Delhi and Varanasi in four and a half hours

The board chairman said that the bullet train will complete the 865 km distance between Delhi and Varanasi in four and a half hours. While this train will travel 1625 km from Delhi-Agra-Varanasi-Patna-Howrah. The second project will be 886 km between Delhi-Jaipur-Udaipur-Ahmedabad. The third project will be 753 km Mumbai-Nashik-Nagpur. The fourth will be 711 km long between Mumbai-Pune-Hyderabad. The fifth project will be 435 km long between Chennai-Bangalore-Mysore. The sixth project will be 459 km in length between Delhi-Chandigarh-Ludhiana-Amritsar. A detailed report of all these projects will come up by June 2021 next year.
