(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) India: If you are applying for Aadhar card, the status of your Aadhar card can be known to you. You need your Enrollment ID (EID). The number was declared on the top of the enrollment slip. It consists of a 14-digit number and 14-digit date and time. The Aadhar card status can be checked through the website Unique Identification Authority of India’s website, through the toll-free number or through SMS to 51969.
Steps to check Aadhar status online are;
- Visit UIDAI website
- During the time of enrolment enter the Enrolment ID (EID)
- Enter the captcha verification
- Click on the ‘Check Status’ icon
- If the Aadhar was ready then you will receive a status message on the next screen as ‘Your Aadhar is generated’
- Then download to get the Aadhar card
