(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: In today’s time the whole world is troubled by a coronavirus and is trying its best to fight with. During this corona period, an online campaign has been started by an organization named SCARD (Social Collective Action for Research and Development). The campaign launched by SCARD organization is ‘Exercise India, Fit India’. With the help of social media, webinars, and workshops this organization will teach us that if we are healthy, we can fight even in times of diseases like coronavirus.
According to Dr. Vipin Agnihotri President of SCARD, most of the youngsters waste their time on pubs, lounges, and restaurants in place of fitness and health. We have to spread awareness among them so we can fight this disease. After joining this campaign, eminent social activist and brand ambassador of the SCARD, Dr. Suksanksha became very happy. She hopes to able to inspire the present youth. Suksanksha said, “India can not be on the path of development until the youth, especially women, are aware that it is impossible to succeed in today’s age until and unless your fitness level is up to the mark.” Dr. Vipin Agnihotri and Dr. Sukansha already conducted a survey on 500 people, before starting the campaign. During the survey, they found that 65% of people do exercise only for show, and 72% of people do not know the correct way of exercise. In starting of the campaign, Dr. Vipin and Dr. Sukansha will teach basic exercise and fitness with the help of videos on social media and will make people realize that with the help of exercise and fitness, we can bring positivity in us mentally and physically.
