There are also three species of butterflies from the AP in the ring. Along with the AP, a few other states also stood out in the competition. A total of 7 species were selected in the final competition to select the best butterfly at the national level. There are three types of butterflies in the Papikondala Sanctuary.
Common Jezebel, Orange O’Keefe, Common Nawab, Krishna Peacock, Fiber Sword-Tail, Northern Jungle Queen, and Yellow Gorgon were selected for the 2021 competition.
