(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) Vijayawada: All the Common Entrance Exams including the AP EAMCET are postponed to September said the Education minister Adimulapu Suresh on Monday. The decision was taken after discussing the issue with the Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, added Suresh.
The committee has decided to postpone the exams as the conditions are not favorable to the students to attend exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a part of this AP EAMCET, JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, and NEET were postponed to the third week of September. The AP government, through the State Council of Higher Education combinedly conducts all the common entrance exams.
According to the UGC Guidelines, all the Under graduation(UG) and Post Graduation(PG) exams will be conducted by the respective Universities, when COVID situation is in control. These exams will be held before September 30. All these exams are frequently conducted in May but because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the schedule got disturbed.
