Lucknow: delivering milk by his eight-year-old son at the doorstep became costly to his father. As soon as the video of the child riding a bike went viral, the police did an e-challan of Rs 30,000.
In the new vehicle act, there is a fine of at least 25 thousand rupees on the parent or the vehicle owner for minor’s driving a vehicle. Apart from this, the punishment of three months can also be accused.
The bike is registered in the name of a milk trader from Kakori.
Kakori resident Rishabh Singh made a video of the child and tagged and tweeted it from CM to top police officers. The cognizance of the video was taken by DGP OP Singh, after which the Lucknow police became active. The police started searching for the bike owner.

According to SP Traffic Purnendu Singh, the video was tweeted on Tuesday evening. Based on the bike number, the challan has been done under the existing challan process, fixing a mitigation fee of Rs 11500.
Under the amended Motor Vehicle Act, there has also been a section too for giving a vehicle to a minor. It will be settled by the court, in which there is a provision of thirty thousand fine and punishment. The report will be sent to the JJ court for the minor to ride the bike.
