(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): The Congress dissolves its entire district as well as block committees in Rajasthan on Wednesday. This has been done in an attempt to revamp the party’s state structure. AICC General Secretary in-charge of the Congress of Rajasthan said new committees would be formed shortly while announcing the news. Sources said the decision came in the aftermath of the sacking of Sachin Pilot as the deputy chief minister and president of the state congress.
The decision is seen as taking a step in eliminating all Pilots’ men from party posts. “The AICC has decided to dissolve all District Congress Committees and Block Congress Committees of Rajasthan Pradesh with immediate effect. The process of formation of new committees will begin soon,” Pande tweeted.
