New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will seat a press conference on Wednesday at 4 pm. Prime Minister- Narendra Modi while addressing the nation on Tuesday announced an exceptional financial package of Rs 20 lakh crore which will be provided by the administration in 2020 to make our country self-sufficient during this recessionary phase caused by the outbreak of COVID-19. Besides this, he alleged that Finance Minister- Nirmala Sitharaman will be providing the details for the same within next few days from
Wednesday.
In this context, the Finance Department has tweeted on Wednesday morning that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will direct a press meeting in New Delhi at 4 pm.
While addressing the nation on Tuesday Modi further alleged, “I am announcing today an exceptional economic package with a new determination, facing the COVID-19 crisis.” This strategy will function as an essential relationship to the self-reliant India campaign. Recently, the fiscal announcements made by the administration associated with the COVID-19 crisis, which were the decisions of the RBI and this package that will be announced today, it is about 20 lakh crore rupees. This package is about 10% of India’s GDP.
This package would provide relief to a greater extent especially to the farmers, workers, loyal tax-paying middle class, and various industries of our country.
Prior to this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced an economic package of Rs 1.70 lakh crore.
