(Juhi Aishwary, Journalist):  Students of government schools in Tamil Nadu will be taught through TV and not online. State education minister KA Sengotayan gave this information on Thursday.

At Gobichettipalayam in Arode district, the minister said that Chief Minister K.K. The schedule and timings for the class will be announced when Palaniswamy inaugurates the class.

The debate was sparked by the Education Minister’s announcement about the online classroom on Wednesday. Since children come from large numbers of poor people in government schools and many of them do not have expensive devices like smartphones. The minister said that five private channels will broadcast the classes free of cost at the scheduled time. Particularly, parents are protesting. His view is that children are not ready for an online class. He said that preparations are being made to conduct classes. It will start on 13 July.

Teachers are being trained for online classes

On the other hand, online classes have been started for students in other parts of the country due to the Corona crisis and lockdown. Online classes are also a new experience for teachers. After the new session starts, a training workshop is being organized to train the teachers in the online medium. In this, all teachers and teachers are trained on how to make online education more interesting by audio, video, PPT, animated, and music videos.
