(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Russia: In Russia, on Tuesday, 11 elderly people have died tragically due to a massive fire in a retirement home. The incident occurred in the Bashkortostan region in the Ural Mountains of Russia. Officials said the dying elderly were unable to move, due to which the fire left them stranded there and died. The emergency ministry said the fire occurred at 3 am. The fire was immediately reported to the fire department in Ishbuldino village’s retirement home. The fire was controlled after three hours of hard work. The ministry said that four other people trapped in the building after the fire were evacuated before firefighters arrived. One of the rescued was an employee who helped evacuate three people from the building. The report said that the 11 people who died were elderly, they could not be evacuated quickly.
