(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Ukraine; An unstable armed man who has seized dozen of hostages on a bus in Ukraine’s western city of Lutsk was detained on Tuesday after a 12 hours standoff, the hostages were unharmed and freed.
They agreed to release the hostages after a 15minute call with the Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
After the call the president posted a video message on Facebook urging Ukrainians to watch ‘ Earthlings,’ it is a 2005 American documentary which has exposed humanity cruel exploitation of animals- as wanted by the hostage-taker.
After a few minutes, the assailant surrenders himself to the police leaving the hostages without hurt. The man was Maksim Kirvosh, an animal right activists who have protected many straw dogs.
