Kanika Kapoor case: Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor said ‘I am innocent’

Lucknow: Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor recorded her statement on Wednesday. In her statement, Kanika has described herself as innocent. Kanika says that she came to India from the UK on 10 March. During this time no order was issued to quarantine himself. Inspector Sarojninagar Anand Kumar Shahi said that some questions are made for Kanika to be questioned.

Police inquired about their journey from Kanika coming from the UK to the corona being infected. The investigation officer accompanied the police team to their residence in the Mahanagar on Wednesday to take Kanika’s statement. Kanika said that on 18 March advisory was issued to those coming from the UK.

During this time people were advised to quarantine themselves. Till then she had no symptoms. As soon as she came to know, she himself contacted the doctors. Kanika says that no party was organized in the capital on her behalf. Not only this, she did not attend any party in Lucknow but attended lunch and dinner at her friend’s place.

The police went to Kanika’s house and pasted a notice for the statement. Kanika was called for deposition on 30 April. However, Kanika had requested the police to make a statement on Wednesday, after which the police reached her house. An FIR was filed against Kanika for violating the epidemic act and lockdown. Kanika has described herself as an innocent and the FIR registered against her is wrong. They say that all the people they come in contact with are healthy and no one has got corona infection.
